Stevens studied the city as well as other discovered Mayan cities trying to find answers to who the Mayans were and what happened to them. 
Today, archaeologists are still trying to find the same answers by reconstructing the ruins and exploring the site looking for information. 

Throughout this video there are some red flags. One is Appeal to Authority. People from various educational institutions are mentioned for their research, trying to make the information in the video seem accurate and credible.  
Another Red flag is Ancient Wisdom. This video gives the impression that the Mayan were so intelligent that they were able to create buildings without the use of metal or the wheel. All that was used was stone tools. This video talks about how the Mayans were starving and had to leave their cities.  I am skeptical of this as most of what I have read says this is merely a theory of what could have happened, and is not proven truth.  

One Red Flag is that Scholars are shown throughout the video talking about the Mayan civilization and what they believe, giving the impression that the info in the video is credible. 

Another red flag is Mystical Energy by offering blood to the Gods to appease them.  
Another Red Flag is Ancient Wisdom. This video gives the impression that the ancient Mayans had knowledge that we do not know about today. In the 9th century most Mayan cities had been abandoned. Thousands of years later, we are still trying to understand their civilization.  Archaeologists are using the ruins hieroglyphs to decipher their meaning and to find out more about the civilization.

The Mayan would offer human sacrifices or would blood-let their own blood to their Gods and burn it on paper to satisfy the Gods so that the Mayans could conjure up images of their long lost ancestors.  I am skeptical that blood-letting and sacrifice could lead to seeing your dead ancient ancestors and find this practice very disturbing.

I am skeptical to a lot of the historical information on this site. I feel most of it is just theories, while the website is promoting the information as fact. I do however, like the Interactive map and that the site gives you travel information. This website gives you information on the size of the site chosen, how much it is to visit, and a brief history of the chosen site.  
I did not find any red flags, but am skeptical of the historical information stated on this website. No one knows what truly happened to the Mayan civilization. If you go to the Archaeological Sites map and click on a ruin site, a page will be displayed with information about that site.  

Although I did not notice any red flags throughout the website, I do think that this woman's information could be skewed due to faulty perception and observation.  Most times our memories are not always accurate.

Some scholars suggest that this pyramid was built using Ancient Wisdom that the Mayans may have possessed. I feel if the Mayans had any form of ancient wisdom, we would either know about it or possess it ourselves. 
The Mayans were intelligent people who studied the stars, created calendars, excellent mathematicians, and were great builders. Many people believe the Mayan had Ancient Wisdom that we now do not possess, and used this knowledge to build their palaces and pyramids.  
Others feel that the Mayans used mystical energy like stone levitation or had help from extra-terrestrials (agenticity).  
I do not believe in either of these theories. I find it fascinating that our culture thinks that the Mayans were too stupid to figure out how to create buildings. In Ancient times, Tikal was the capital of one of the most powerful Mayan kingdoms. Tikal is huge in size and would take more than a day to explore. It is fascinating that an ancient culture could create such a large city using primitive tools made of wood and stone.
