Jane was diagnosis with a nervous condition, so the Dr. suggested rest.  Jane and the family leaving for four weeks to a Victorian cottage. John who is a physician and Jane's husbands suggest she just needs to eat, lie down and keep her daily medical routine. As the hours and days past. Jane soon realizes that been on the ground floor gazing at the beautiful roe garden would have been much better than this yellow wallpaper. John refuses to allow Jane to have any self control.  The smell of the yellow wallpaper is causing to to hallucinate, which she is only seeing her internal emotions manifesting onto the wall.
Forbidden to work or read. Jane starts to write in a journal.  Isolated from family Jane starts to go hysterical and pulls strips of wallpaper from the wall.  Locking herself in the room.  Jane commits acts of no returns and makes a mean to end her life.
