Normally I would get to go to a 1st-grade classroom and read one of my favorite books to them. I looked forward to these days, and loved being able to help others enjoy reading like I did. I remember doing a lot of Math, but am pretty sure we did other activities as well. After participating (every time, as we did it a few times a year), I got to get a prize. One time I picked up one of the Warriors novels and then did so again the next time. During this time I leaned to be comfortable performing in front of others whether that was singing or playing the flute. This was the start of when my music world began. I continued to pursue music extracurriculars all throughout middle school and high school and even competed in competitions. The last group of books I read for fun was this 8 book series. As he has gotten older we have gotten to work a lot on language development. I am working on encouraging him and helping him gain confidence in different areas of his life but especially with his language. We are currently working a lot on sounds and words.
