The common good is when we work together as one community to improve well being of people in our society. This could be shown in our community today when people are donating food and goods to the people in need. This could also be shown in our world today when groups of people are working together to improve the lives of people in need from other countries. Some of these groups are Caritas and St. Vincent de Paul.

How did people in Jesus’ time show they followed “The Common Good”? What actions or events in the Bible could you use as an example? (Use a piece of scripture in Bible as an example)

People in Jesus’ time showed they followed the Common Good. This is evident in Matthew 6:14-15 when it says to “forgive others who sin against you.” If this piece of writing was followed, then the people in Jesus’ time clearly followed the Common Good. By following this, everyone would be at peace with each other and everyone would get along. This would then lead to the Common Good in the society.
