Seeing other comments about not being relevant to peoples course I can empathise but I still believe that all the tools, skills and knowledge Matthew spoke about are so relevant to any role whether it be the private or public sector. His wisdom and discussions around stumbling blocks, failures and times where he learnt the most were so relevant to all of us in the room as at some point this will happen to us due to the nature of working with children, families and young people. Although it was focused around business I believe it was very useless, it certainly empowered me to think about the future and how I can utilise my own unique skills when working with young people and perhaps do things that do not revolve around the health service or large youth/family organisations and charities.

The lunch was fantastic, I do like my food but it wasn't the reason I was there so well done on that part. 

Kirsty Fraser. WHAT A WOMAN. A true inspiration for all that in personal honesty had many of us pulling on our heartstrings but I believe it needs to go further than that. The next step is looking at how we can make a difference and thats the exact message I got from Kirsty which I valued, her points did not hang around the fact that the crisis is ongoing it was about our own human nature and how within us we all want to help people. I will sure be speaking with Kirsty personally on how myself and my job can assist in this. 

Sadly I left before the workshops began but I find that with conferences like this the subject always looks at a community and what we can put in place. I believe this needs to change to the point to make it relevant as many of us on our courses will look into this through the various case studies etc. The subjects could have perhaps linked in with Kirsty and Matthew and look at how we develop the broad base of skills and capabilities around linking CYP and business/entrpreneurship as we are all capable of it. 
Value Creation, Venture Building, Opportunity Recognition, Practical Creativity, Task focus, self confidence, actin orientation and focus on developing yourself to put yourself in a position where you can apply these skills like Kirsty and Matthew would be fantastic.

The speakers certainly got me thinking, in ways I perhaps had not seen myself before. 

Kirsty was amazing and I agree with other opinions on People in Motion. 
The conference has opened my eyes to different areas to develop myself.

I didn't particularly gain anything from the afternoon workshop, I have done similar things throughout my course.

The second part of the morning lost me and i feel like that wasn't very helpful to me personally.

Kirsty's presentation was AMAZING, WHAT A WOMAN!  I was so moved with what she was saying and inspired to try help in any way possible and spread the word. 

The workshop at the end was really good too, though i feel that it may have been better at the start of the day to get us thinking and interacting so that we knew each other a bit more.
