a brief reflection on your performance

After watching the videos on image control, I managed to complete the quiz with only one attempt. I found a few questions challenging as some answers I thought that were wrong were unexpectedly correct, but from this I was able to learn. Furthermore, the questions that I got correct made me feel accomplished as it showed methat understood the content the videos were portraying. Overall, I learnt new concepts related to imaging and cameras such as: colour temperature and focusing which will be vital to my video production as it will be useful techniques during filming.

your strengths and weaknesses

One the weaknesses I identified during the quiz was the lack of attention I had when reading questions and answers. For example, one of the question was regarding a colour temperature, I knew the measuring unit was degree Kelvin but I picked an answer which was measured in Celsius. I completely disregarded the measuring unit (basically half of the answer) and instantly jumped the answer I thought was correct.

However, a strength I discovered was understanding and learning the content quickly as I usually take a while to rewatch the material to understand new terms and concepts. But I only watched each video once and was able to recall some information from each topic which is surprising to me considering I am usually not good at picking up new things quickly.

According the article, the 8 plus has improved its camera by 12 megapixels at the back as well as having larger sensors in comparison the iPhone 7. The iPhone great for shooting as the two lens installed work together to produce high resolution quality, one lens has a standard wide angle and the other is a slower lens with two times the magnification compared to the standard lens. According to Apple, the iPhone 8's camera comes off warmer than all the other iPhone's and accomplishes wide angle stabilisation as mentioned earlier. Furthermore, this has created features such as "Portrait Mode" and "Portrait lighting which utilises depth information to blur the background of a photo. Therefore, from reading several reviews on the iPhone 8, i believed it is suitable for video production because of the features it contains.

With all the strengths of the iPhone mentioned above, the main disadvantage of this iPhone is transferring files onto a PC, with the new design it is difficult to transfer files as we would have to purchase a new adapter for the cord to plug into the phone to connect to the laptop. Also the iPhone does not have a micro SD card slot or removable battery which could've increase the efficiency when filming.

Not like the iPhone, it has a sim card slot making it easier to transfer files onto the laptop.
