I have been picked from the many options to go to the moon, along with two other veteran astronauts: Buzz Aldrin, and Michael Collins. I was selected to command the mission. I was going to land on the moon along with Buzz, while Collins would stay in orbit aboard the command module. As we were landing I noticed that the system had us heading straight for a boulder filled landing zone I took control of the spacecraft and landed us safely with only 25 seconds of fuel left. The original plan was for us to sleep before moonwalk but it had changed since we were not able to sleep. I was the first on the moon, Buzz was next. After the moonwalk we safely headed back to earth.

Today I was flying a Lunar Landing Research vehicle. A machine that flew like a lunar module and could simulate landing on the moon. Everything was well until fuel for thrusters ran out. I had not been expecting this to happen. Luckily I had ejected at the last second without any injuries. Despite the incidents that have happened in my career so far i carried on to my next mission.

On my first flight I served as the command pilot for the Gemini 8 mission. Along with my fellow pilot David Scott, we had completed the first orbital docking of two spacecraft. But then a problem arose, a thruster on the spacecraft had been stuck open. We were soaring through space at speeds that were equivalent to one revolution per second. I managed to gain control of the spacecraft by using its re-entry thrusters. Even though disaster had been avoided we had to splash back into earth early.
