I also think of my parents telling me that something such as my phone, of being able to hang out with my friends at night is a privilege, and that it can be taken away. I think that privilege is something that a person(s) has that others don't. Sometimes privileges are earned like when you show your parents that you can be responsible, so the let you do more things, and some are given to certain people because of circumstances beyond their control. John, the boy grew up in a nice house with parents that were always there. Marta's wasn't always there because her parents worked two jobs.
