The surge in weight gain worldwide has led to more diagnoses of diabetes, heart disease and dementia. Obesity fuels certain cells which consume synapses, damaging brain function. Adults with morbid obesity are more likely than not to develop diabetes, shortness of breath and chronic pain, as well as depression driven by social factors but also the impact of inflammation on the brain.</div>]]></description>
