He died in prison in England, after a hunger strike.

Derry/Londonderry is one of the most important city in NI with Belfast. Derry is split in two parts: the nationalist part and the unionist part. In the nationalist part we can see son graffiti about Bobby sands and in general about the IRA. We can also see the memorial about the Sunday Bloody Sunday, in 1972, where the catholic nationalists started a pacific demonstration where the England police answered shooting the protesters; 13 people died and 17 got wounded.

UK devolved their powers to give some type of autonomy to Northern Ireland.

This agreement it would have been done only if armed groups agreed to dispose of their weapons. Since 2006 the first minister has been chosen by the largest party in the assembly. If this is a unionist party, then the deputy minister is drawn from the largest nationalist party, and vice versa. Both ministers have equal powers, and one can’t be in office without the other.
