2. Don’t use to many different tools in one session – balance direct communication with use. of tools (less is more)

3. Use tools fit for purpose and client – reflect, what could be supportive for this client and if the use of a tool has an extra value for the client.

4. Plan the time: if you want to use digital tools, you need some time.

5. Introduce the tool to the client – if the client is not familiar to a tool, take some time to introduce functionality, purpose, and value.

6. If relevant: transfer results to the client. If you e.g. visualize situation, or recherche information or collect relevant links – transfer the results to the client, e.g. in a mail, in the chat or by sending / sharing screenshots showing the results of the common work.

(a) Practitioner and client are in the same room. During a meeting or session, the advisor uses digital tools at appropriate points. A screen or a digital tablet is necessary for this.

(b) Practitioner and client are connected via a video communication tool. This requires the practitioner (or the client) to be able (and willing) to share the screen. Most video communication tools provide this.

(c) Practitioner and client agree that the client will work independently with digital tools before, after or between sessions. The results can be used in the session.
