The professor that has been the most open to technology is my Introduction to Java professor. The work I do in the class, is creating code; I’m working on Eclipse and Zybooks to learn how to create code that produces the desired output. In general, the subject requires technology, but the professor involves other types to make the class very collaborative, efficient, and an open space for communication.

The following types of technology are what the teacher has already incorporated into the classroom:

Zybooks is a software that the teacher has the students purchase to perform daily homework on. Through Zybooks the professor can pick which type of questions she wants us to work on and she can even create practice scenarios, which are usually weekend projects due when we get back to class. It’s great because the teacher gets notified of who did and did not complete the homework, and then Zybooks will generate statistics based on which area students had difficulty completing and which areas took the longest. This is my Zybooks homepage, I click on each chapter's tab to access that homework

My professor also uses Piazza, which is an online communication tool, where students can ask questions about issues with any of the work from the class. In general, other students, the teacher’s assistants and the professor can answer questions. If a student answers the question of another student the teacher’s assistant or the professor themselves can verify the answer if it is correct. Piazza also allows the professor to make announcements for the class.

Some students get shy in class when the teacher is asking if anyone is confused with a particular topic, so with Google Forms students can anonymously submit questions to be reviewed in class in more detail than what is in the textbook.

Kahoot is another addition I would like to see incorporated into class. I believe a nice addition to the type of technology the professor incorporates in class would be Kahoot. Kahoot would be a great tool to assess what material the students are comfortable with, and what they need to review more, the class period before an exam. ON the Kahoot the professor would focus on general topics during the initial questions, and once she covers all of those she gets more specific with her questions.
