         <description><![CDATA[<div>Storytelling is a very significant aspect of Kayapo life and is common way of filling time. It is also a form of entertainment. Mostly, however, it forms part of the rituals that give structure and meaning to the life of the Kayapos. Storytelling is linked with dance rituals and ceremonies and these follow a cycle to do with nature and the changing seasons.<br><br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Kayapos are skilled hunters. They use blowguns and darts dipped in a type of natural poison called <em>curare, </em>which instantly paralyzes an animal. Fish is the main source of protein in the Kayapos' diet and monkey and turtle are also hunted. Other animals are eaten rarely except during festivals and celebrations.<br><br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The most striking accessory they wear is a light wooden lip disk about two 1/2 inches (six centimeters) in diameter. The disk stretches their lower lip out to produce the Kayapos' extraordinary and very distinctive appearance. The usage of the lip disk is dying out among the younger members who find it uncomfortable to wear.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>One of the main skills a Kayapo child is taught from a young age is to be able to create their own jewellery, weapons and other objects significant to the Kayapo culture. The Kayapos are skilled in preparing and applying intricate designs as body paint. They weave sturdy and flexible hammocks and also make their own canoes as well as fishing and hunting tools such as spears, clubs, blow guns, arrows, and darts.<br><br><br></div>]]></description>

To hunt fish they were taught to shake a plant in the water that is poisonous to fish then wait until they float to the water surface of the water then to spear them.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>One kayapo tribe institution is going to a boys initiation into the tribe. This is when a boy hits a certain age and is then given his ancestral name. During the ceremony it is required for every boy that has not been given their ancestral name to come and help giving the ceremony.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Teenage women are prime candidates for marriage in the tribe. The girl usually marries someone that the family has chosen. The mother of the girl who is getting married paints her daughters body with red and black body paint and dress her with colourful clothes. The girl is then expected to marry the person who her family chose and then to have her own children. </div>]]></description>
