Hi, Im Karen Joy. I'm a Layout Artist. Ever since I was a kid, I used to love arts and anything that contains creativity. I love how colors and graphics works together. It makes my heart sparkle when I'm satisfied with my artworks. My heart melts when others appreciates and compliment my work. It's all started wayback quarantine days when I got my interest in editing using applications, softwares, websites and other editing apps online. There was a gaming clan, that i joined particularly in a one famous mobile game. I am their editor for photo team roaster, banners, and other gaming stuffs that is posted on their pages for free. Yes, for free. I usually edit for fun, and I didn't consider it as a side hustle. After pandemic, I got busy pursuing my degree in college. Not until, I saw the Facebook post of the BISCAST Collegian, they are open for recruitment. That was the time that I realized that these skill of mine should be showcased in a way for helping orders, or the community. I want to serve using my talent and skills in editing, and also improve it for the opportunity that might come in the future.

Serving towards my passion

It's been a year since I applied to their recruitment. My passion, skills, and creativity was my starting capital to conquer those challenges in order to fit to their standards in the recruitment that I just saw on their Facebook page. Now, I'm proudly say that I am one of these four layout apprentice that got passed to their standards and interview last year. I'm now an official Layout Artist, and it's an honor to serve our school publication, The BISCAST Collegian.
