This event impacted modern-day care because the NIH can now ensure that all complementary and alternative services are updated on all new medical treatments and warnings. This also allows a big organization to begin more research on these methods in the hope to find new cures and ways to cope with illnesses. Without this organization, some practices might be dangerous to people and there would be no way to prevent these methods.
