It changes from heat, cold, or just moisture. There are three types of matter; solid, liquid, and gas. A solid is a bunch of atoms tightly packed together that can't move. It has definite shape and volume. A liquid is a bunch of atoms that are spread apart but are still near each other. It has definite volume, but no definite shape. A gas is a bunch of atoms that are widely separated and can move freely. It has no definite shape or volume. Volume is the amount of space something takes up. Mass is the amount of atoms in an object. It is measured in kilograms. Weight is the amount of pressure on gravity. Evaporation is the process of liquid turning into gas. Condensation is the process of cold water coming into contact with humidity and forms water droplets. Melting is when a solid turns into a liquid from heat, and freezing is when a liquid turns into a solid from the cold.
