1. I enrolled at SF College mostly because I felt like Gainesville would be a nice place to move to, and SF seemed great for a general associates degree. Been here since 2011 and don't plan on leaving anytime soon.

2. I'm from New Port Richey, FL, about 20 miles north of Tampa.

3. I hope to further my knowledge of risk management and hope that this knowledge can bring me further in my current position as a tech at my office.

4. My future goal is to have graduated with my bachelors in security/risk management and to find a job I love.

5. I'm seeking the position of either a security architect or officer.

6. I love playing video games for fun (the Final Fantasy series and horror genre being my favorite), building/testing websites and relaxing at home with my cats, Spaghetti and Pippin.

1. I decided to enroll at SF College because I wanted to stay close to home for school and also to save a bit of money before transferring to a state university.

1. I decided to enroll at SF College because my coworkers were expressing how well the IT classes for them were going. This, and the fact that I have avoided college for far too long has led me to continue my desire to grow.

2. Born in Bayamon, Puerto Rico, but I really am from northern Illinois. Almost halfway between Chicago and Milwaukee as far as commute goes.

3. Broaden my understanding of Information Security, complete my course requirement, and to see if IS is a field I may want to move into.

4. I hope to eventually make it to IT Project Management, but my real goal is just to learn more of what I do not know.

5. I currently work at UFIT in Academic Technology, and so far really enjoy it. A previous employer works in information security and has expressed in challenges and rewards in the field, so it is something I am interested to learn more of.

6. Hobbies: Like a lot of people my age, I game a bit. Outside of that, I tend to binge watch good shows (Trekkie at heart), a lot of movies, spending time with my Golden, and going on road trips.

1. I decided to enroll at Santa Fe because I've always heard great things about it from family members and friends. Small class sizes and flexible class schedules are some of the great advantages SF has to offer. I've been at SF for about 2 years now and it has definitely been a great learning environment and I am happy I chose SF to help me reach my goals.

2. Where are you from?
I was born in Gainesville but grew up in some of the smaller surrounding cities like Waldo, Keystone Heights, and Hawthorne.

3.. What do you hope to take away from this class?
I hope to gain a better understanding of computer security. I want to know all the components that go into protecting, troubleshooting, identifying security threats, and repairing and recovery data.

4. What is your future goal?
My goal is to earn a degree in IT so that I can find a career in a field that I truly care about. I currently work in retail, and it has definitely made me realize that I should chase my career goals even more.

5. What position are you seeking in the IT Networking or Security industry?
I haven't decided on a specific position yet. However, I'm interested in becoming a Data Security Analyst or a network analyst.

6. What interests you? Hobbies?
I've always had an interest in technology whether it be computers or cell phones. My hobbies include binge watching TV shows (Doctor Who is my favorite), creating digital designs on Illustrator, and debating and researching current political events.

1. I decided to to join Santa Fe to move things forward in my life by getting my Bachelors in Network Security. This is my second semester at Santa Fe, and has a older gentlemen, its appreciated that classes are online now.

2. Born and raised right here in Gainesville, FL. 39 years living in this city. I have watched it grow from a small University town, to a large University. Many new faces and business have been added in the last 40 years.

3. Hope to learn Security and how to identify threats and how to respond to threats in a manner that will prevent any future threats from arising.

4. Future goals are to keep on living health, make time for family and cont. to learn and advance my career in the IT world.

5. Currently don't have any set plan for the IT world. Currently have a good career working for Philips as an engineer building and programming MRI's for hospitals across the nation. If I had to pick one. I have my eyes set on getting a career with UF or Disney in network sec.

6. Fishing, Computer, Star wars, Video games, Networks, Linux, Jeeps, Art, Tattoos. I could make a list but those are the basics.

1. I decided to enroll in Santa Fe college due to the location as i enjoy being here in Gainesville. Also due to the extensive and comprehensive courses it offers in the CIT umbrella, i hope to advance from CIT to a Programming Bachelors.

2. I am from Lincoln in the United Kingdom and moved here to the states in 2017 and have loved it since.

3. I hope to advance my knowledge in the security field and eventually be able to identify and terminate threats on my own.

4. My future goal is to start my own business and work for myself to eventually have the freedom to do whatever I please.

5.I have not decided on a position in IT as of yet but i want to apply all aspects of my knowledge into my own business.

6.I am interested in working on my car (1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse GST), I enjoy detailing cars and when I'm not working on or detailing cars i like to play video games.

1. I previously attended Santa Fe for an AS in Pharmacy then took some time off from school for personal reasons before starting the IT Security degree.

2. I grew up in Citrus County which is about 50 minutes to an hour south of Gainesville.

3. Since this is one of my first courses towards my new degree path, I am hoping to learn the basics behind Information Security. I hope to grasp a good understanding in order to prepare myself for future courses.

4. My future goal is to finally have a career path where I am excited to go to work and feel like I am accomplishing something while I am working.

5. This is my first semester for this degree path, but right now I am interested in a position working with Cybersecurity. Either as an Analyst or a security architect.

6. I am a music/concert junkie. I love following sports (huge Philly sports fan). I enjoy to play video games and read when I have free time. I am very passionate about craft beer (I have many friends who work in the industry) and enjoy socializing at breweries, although I prefer sitting at home watching Netflix with my cat Simba.

1. I decided to enroll at SF College because it's the only college in Gainesville that offers a bachelors in IT-related subjects. UF only offers Computer Science, so SF was the clear choice.

1) I wanted the flexibility to be able to take classes while working full-time. The AS Computer Info Tech program also offered a wide range of topics I was interested in covering.

3) A better understanding of information security that I can apply to whatever field I choose to go in to within IT.

4) Move from my role in tech support in to a more technical role based on the hard skills I'm currently learning.

1. SF is the only game in town when it comes to a degree in IT stuff. UF is expensive and only has Comp-Sci. SF has several degree tracks that are IT related.

1. I decided to enroll at SF College because I plan on transferring to UF and I feel SF College is the best place to get my AA in order to do that!

1. This is my second time working on a degree at Santa Fe. I originally enrolled in the Zoo program in 2002 and then graduated with an AA in 2005 before moving onto UF. I have been working different jobs, usually sales based for the past 15 years. It was time for a change and decided to go back to school and get a new degree. Santa Fe was my first place to look for a program of study.

2. I am from a small town between Gainesville and Jacksonville called Middleburg. I have lived in Gainesville, Oldsmar, and New Port Richey over the years.

3. I hope to get a better understanding of how security works within today's digital world.

4. My future goal is to obtain my AS and find a job that is close to my home or where I can work from home. I also like the continuing education that this field has to offer.

5. I would like to find a job within a local school system or be able to work from home.

1. I enrolled at Santa Fe in 2005, I graduated high school in 2004 and figured I would do what everybody else does, and go to college. After popping in, and dropping out of classes for 13 years, I finally got my AA, and am now going back for an AS, and then a BAS so I can find a way out of the restaurant industry for good.

2. Born in Atlanta, Ga and moved to Gainesville 32 years ago when I was two years old. And yes, it was my decision as a mature two year old to do the right thing for the family.

3. I hope to learn how to properly secure files and systems in this course. As well as soak up any other knowledge that comes my way.

4. I was a cook for 12 years, and have been a server for two years now, my future goals are to not have to rely on other people to pay my bills through tips. I hope to land an office job where I can assure everything is running, and secured properly.

5. I was a low-voltage technician for two years which involved many things from installing, to setting up, to troubleshooting all things low voltage (which involved a lot of crawling around in attics, in Florida), and I've found that, while it provided a good knowledge base, I do not want to continue further in that field. I would like to be the person in charge of all things IT for a preferably small company that provides benefits.

6. I write horror stories, terrible poetry about my experience in life so far, I play a lot of disc golf nowadays, I skateboarded for 15 years until my body started to hate me for it, and am interested in seeking sustainable and reliable income and happiness.

3. I hope to learn how to better protect myself and my family in the online world and to gain a fundamental understanding of computer security.

4. I would like to apply to either FSU or USF for a bachelor's of IT and a minor of Computer Science, and then a Master's in Intelligence Analysis and get a job either with the government or security firm.

5. Ideally, something with cyber warfare, maybe with the US Army's Cyber Warfare Command.

6. I enjoy outdoor adventures and building things with my hands.
