Alfred Lothar Wegener was born on the 1st day of November year of 1880. He was a German meteorologist who studied the weather as well as the atmoshphere.

He was an expert when it comes to the weather and atmosphere of Polar Regions which are Arctic, Antartic & Tundra.

Wegener is the first person who use a balloon to study the weather and atmoshpere.

The Continental Drift Theory is associated with Alfred Wegener. In his 1915 publication, "The Origin of Continents and Oceans", he presented a broad hypothesis that the continents were once joined together in a single supercontinent called Pangaea.

Laurasia, ancient continental mass in the Northern Hemisphere that included North America, Europe, and Asia.

Gondwana, ancient supercontinent in Souther Hemisphere that incorporated present-day South America, Africa, Arabia, Madagascar, India, Australia, and Antarctica.

In modern world, we also have now a seven continents which are the largest is Asia, followed by Africa, North America, South America, Antartica, Europe and the smallest is Australia.
