I am eleven years old and I live in the beautiful town of Paredes, which belongs to the district of Porto.

I attend the basic and secondary school in Paredes and I am in the 6th year of schooling.

My favorite sport is athletics. Our city has a municipal swimming pool, where children can learn to swim.

The beaches that are close to our city are wonderful, they are in the city of Porto.

On some days of the month in a square we have a large fair where they sell various things such as: fruits, vegetables, accessories, clothes and shoes.

In July, we have a big city party that attracts many people of all ages.

I like to live in this city for everything it has.

I am 11 years old and I live in Paredes, a nice town in the district of Porto. It is a small town in the countryside, but it is beautiful. 

União Sport Club de Paredes is our town's football team. I play there since I was 4 years old. At the moment, due to Covid-19, I'm not playing. I like riding my bike, but my favorite free time activity is playing football. We are going to have a new big stadium, because the last one was too old. Watch it (in the picture).

I'm in the 6th grade of EB 2.3 Paredes school, I'm an excellent student and I have an excellent class. My favourite sports are football and swimming. The beaches near our city are fantastic and I love them because they have great sand and lots of sun. My favourite party is Carnival, because it's so much fun to dress up with other things. Many people dress up differently than usual. There are some Portuguese cities which are incredibly famous for carnival parties.  Carnival is like the image below, and Carnival is very funny because there are parades of masked people, there is a lot joy and creativity.

My favourite monument is “Torre dos Clérigos”. This monument is 275 years old. It is located in São Filipe de Nery Street, in Porto. 
In Paredes we have a wonderful park, named José Guilherme and in the middle of the park there is a statue of this man, because he is  important to the town. This year we celebrate his birthday 200 years ago. 

I am in the 6th grade and I attend the Basic and Secondary School of Paredes.

I love the place where I live, because it has one of the most beautiful landscapes I have  ever seen in my entire life and it also has a river  in front of my house and this is incredible. Nearby we only have river beaches and this is in the neighbour municipality of Penafiel.
I like when it comes to the month of July, because every year there  is a party that lasts for around a week.
There are famous Portuguese artists performing and it attracts a lot of people.
Despite being Portuguese all the songs I hear on Spotify are English and now my favourite song is "Golden" by Harry Styles.

In my spare time I like  studying, listening to music, reading, dancing, singing, playing football, helping my grandparents in the garden and cooking.

I have a huge passion for cooking and one day I would like to use the vegetables we produce in the school garden to cook.

One of the things I also like the most is reading, especially outdoors, listening to birds chirping.
Paredes is a very beautiful city with two wonderful parks: Parque José Guilherme and Parque da Cidade, which have lots of green space, and where we could have fun with the family and have great picnics, next to the stream. 
After reading your texts, I got to know your city and I really liked it. Before getting to know your city in more detail, I always imagined it as a very beautiful city, with a very beautiful decoration.
 I didn’t find any more similarities apart from being both two fantastic cities…
