To make this event well known I would email all the local soccer clubs around the area and send them a poster which they can print out and put around the change rooms and the parl noticeboards. This poster would show the charity where the money is going to as well as the price of the tickets and a brief decription of the event. This event could also be advertised on Facebook or other sport clubs' social media pages. I would encourage families to come down with their kids or even other relatives to enjoy their weekend watching the soccer.

to promote this event, we will take advantage of the fact that it is a charity event, and ask marketing companies and all individuals/groups that could provide advertisement to doing it at a reduced free of charge cost. the fact it is for charity will be greatly emphasised to possible customers. i believe the most important segmentation variable is geographic. as this event will be held in a local area, as is a small event, customers who come will likely only be locals who wish to support a local event/charity.
emotionals buying motives will be ther most important. as the service does not offer anything substancial to the consumer in a physical manner, we will rely on the customer wanting to 1. support their community, 2. support their team, and 3. supporting a charity and wanting to help the community.

When developing a promotional plan that has been segmented precisely towards the interests of football players located with the state of New South Wales. Ensuring coverage over the four elements of market segmentation (Demographic, geographic, psychological and behaviour) must be secured in order for the business to generate future profits from their targeted market. In terms of demographic, the tournament must ensure all individuals/fans who share a genuine interest in soccer are adversely targeted to through promotional advertisements and campaign activities. In relation to geographic location, the team should appeal to individuals who are located within both rural and urban areas of the state to cover the complete market share of potential customers who may attend the game. The team should appeal to the customers personality by advertising the charitable factors of the special game that will directly appeal to their sense of social responsibility and empathy for the charity. The factor of behaviour can be covered through the appeal to customers (members of the club) in particular by advertising the game through club member emails to induce the attention of the potential customers. In terms of potential motives that will be aimed to influence through the marketing campaign, the team should play on the loyalty of local fans who attend the game regularly, as repeat customers who are apart of an established target market contribute the most to the revenue and sales of businesses.

Firstly, dividing the market by geographically is important as the promotion needs to appeal and be advertised to the locals who will most likely make up most of the audience. They need to be targeted as it is likely that they are connected to the players in some way. Other people who attend will most likely be big fans of soccer who live around NSW and likely follow the celebrity team attending.

Then psychological marketing as people are more likely to buy tickets if they know that the money is going to a good because it makes them feel responsible and they are then also more comfortable with paying a higher price. Also want to appeal to any other big soccer fans as possible which could be done by putting posters up in soccer clubs around the area and emailing the clubs to promote the event. Could also advertise through social media and through the local council who are usually happy to promote local events.

The first objective to think about when planning on promotional stragies for this tournament is determining the market segmentation which in this area would be a geographic dimension. Once this information is obtained, an adevertising poster, fitting the interests of the target audience, in this case, people who like soccer, people who like supporting local clubs and people who care about charities, it'd be wise to contact local soccer clubs and businesses and ask them to hang around notices to gain attention from individuals that associate with the organisations.
In order to appeal to the target market, using a psychological pricing technique could be effective and achieved by demonstrating how good a price of $30 is to see well-known teams from NSW play in the tournament and how in other circumstances the costs would be very high. Alongside that, promoting that all proceeds will be donated to a local charity will meet societal values and encourage them to attend.

As you develop a promotional plan, what segmentation variables will be most important?

Two of the most important segmentation variables would be demographic and psychographic. Demographic refers to the age, gender, occupation, and education of individuals in a specific region or in an entire population. Whilst psychographics is the lifestyle, socioeconomic group, motives, and personality of everyone that the business intends to target for their product or services. These two factors play a significant role in developing a promotional plan because they are also important aspects of how someone views themselves and thinks about themselves as well as their surroundings, therefore, by approaching and satisfying the correct psychological and demographic factors, a business can achieve a successful promotional plan. For example, a business can design a promotional plan to target individuals who are well educated in soccer and have a fascination for sport, or they participate in regular sporting and soccer activities, by doing so there will be an increased chance that more participants participate in this charitable soccer event.

Outline the buying motives you will use to appeal to your target market.

One buying motive that this business should promote is exclusivity, such as limited merchandise or limited tickets because by making products harder to obtain, consumers will more likely want to obtain them, therefore, increasing sales. Another motive that can be utilised is price appeal, for example making the ticket seem cheap by putting it next to a more expensive one, influencing the customers to view the $30 price tag as more appealing and they will be willing to get it due to the bargained price.

The 2 most important segmentation variables are psychographic and demographic. To advertise for a soccer event, they're needed to figure out a group of potential customers that have a sporty lifestyle for example, or just someone that enjoys watching the king sport, which referred to psychographics. Also, the event is about supporting and doing charity as well as watching soccer so that we might be looking for people at middle ages, kind, full of heart, ...etc, which are considered as demographic. I would advertising the event using psychological techniques in both marketing and pricing. By mentioning that they'll be watching some great matches between celebrity famous teams from NSW and the best local teams for just 30 bucks per person, it actually sounds like the money worth it. Knowing that all the money will be given for charities, they would get motivated, encouraged for having a chance to help other people out just by buying tickets.
