The teachers can give the students options on collaborating/individually using technology such as Canva, Google Slides, Google Docs, Adobe, etc. These are all great alternative ways to write essays, portfolios/family trees, create slideshows/presentations, interactive quizzes, websites, and record yourself or your voice for various assignments. This is also a really cool way for children to express themselves and be able to share it with everyone anywhere at anytime. Which you can't just do with pen and paper.

The teacher could use those digital tools that I listed in 2.7a to create classroom interactive quizzes and/or study guides. I always loved Kahoot which is a fun platform for all login in and clicking on the answer before the time runs out. I also really loved and still use Quiz-let which is a great study tool for students. I think it could also work really well in younger grades not just older grades because it's easy to navigate. The teacher can also create a digital "handout" that all kids have access to to review for guidelines on an essay that's due or a presentation/group project that's coming up. There's so many ways for a teacher to create online assessments for students!

Instead of grading students A-F for what they get wrong i think it's a great and newly improved idea to take into consideration how hard the students are trying. For example let's say a student hands back in there math homework and it's wrong more often then not. But the student doesn't have resources for a tutor and both her parents work and cannot help help. Instead of failing or continuously marking it wrong mark it as an A if you can tell that they're doing there absolute best and then find a way to have them understand the material. I think this guides more progress in the student growing up and throughout the future versus not. Whenever I kept getting poor grades and I didn't understand something I wanted to give up more often then not. But it's the teachers job to ensure safety and learning so eventually the student can understand that material with a little extra help, guidance, thinking outside the box, etc!

For example, if a student has trouble with their homework, the instructor may see that they are not receiving enough help at home. Teachers can modify their lessons and provide assistance when necessary by considering factors other than results from tests.
