Telling our story is a part of keeping alive the narrative of our culture and traditions. To understand our present and future, we must understand where we come from and how that coincides with who we are as individuals. In this project, you will interview 3-5 family members or members of your community to share their stories with your peers online. 

You will be expected to provide your list of 6 to 10 questions, a draft of your interview, a final narrative posted to your blog on Padlet for each story including a reflection piece that helps your peers understand how their narrative connects with your narrative that was shared at the beginning of the year and 4 constructive responses to your peers' posts.

Interview questions are to be created by you to help lead the interview if necessary and to have to follow up to help frame a connection to your narrative. Your list of interview questions including the names of your interviewees will be due on Wednesday, January 18th by 10 pm via Managebac. You can see examples of interview questions in the project sample linked below.

Your interview draft can be compiled in several ways. The three main ways are writing out the questions asked, answers, and any other comments/stories given by the interviewee, audio recording the interviews, or video recording the interviews. If you are writing, it is important to be as detailed and accurate as possible when recording the interview via note-taking. For audio and video recording, you will need to start the recordings by you informing the interviewee that the interview is being recorded and confirming their consent to being recorded before starting your interview. You will upload your documents or recording files on Friday, February 10th by 10 pm via Managebac. 

Your final draft of your narratives should be posted on Padlet. You are welcome to do any of the following:
1) Write out the narrative for your interviewees with your reflection as your conclusion

2) Video record yourself sharing the narratives of your interviewees with the reflection

3) Create a visual piece of medium to illustrate the narratives of your interviewees as comic panels with the reflection attached.

If you have another format you would like to present your final draft, you will need to get approval before Monday, February 13th by the end of your class period.

Your Padlet posts should be posted with your link submitted to me on Managebac before Friday, March 3rd by 10 pm.

Peer responses should be insightful and constructive responses that are a minimum of 150 words. You will be expected to respond to 4 separate peers before Friday, March 10th by 10 pm.
