First-generation Finland students had values in these three categories: family values, instructional values, and friendships. The use of encouragement to achieve a lot, family culture, equality policy, teacher support and encouragement, and role models are all qualities that first-generation students in Finland value. This is what helps students feel successful the most as a first generation student. THIS IS WHAT FINLAND INVESTS IN. Now, we need to know what type of program that entails and what it would look like financially to incorporate that into school districts. We also talked about a broader school curriculum. Maybe that is what allows for more room for conversation of the nurturing of these topics.
