1. For the first question, I would prefer using both types. In both types, there are some advantages and disadvantages. Take authentic listening for example, it is more beneficial for the high achievers but it can be hard for the low ones and affect their motivation in a bad way. On the other hand, choosing authentic materials can increase their motivation into lessons but it takes more time. In these disadvantages coursebook material gets into action. It is more low level oriented and take less time. To sum up, using both of them in the sufficient amount can be best option for the students' development.

2. We saw a lot of different listening activities today's lessons. To make a general comment about them, we can divide them into two groups. One of them the ones requires at least one working phone or sth and internet connection. And the other can be used as photocopied PDFs and prepared materials by the teacher. Because I am teaching in the eastern part of Turkey, it can be really hard to access these kind of facilities for the first kind. But, to be honest, I can use some of them by just using the smart board at the school and actually I saw some that I 've already used before. And I can add a bit more after the ones I learned today. On the other hand, the photocopiable materials are really easy to access and can be more suitable for the students. But yes they can be more boring and I can just open other interactive applications to engage them back into lesson.

1. Actually, there are kind of same with the other districts, but especially in eastern parts of Turkey, there are two main problems. One of them is that children can not even use the Turkish properly. So, they don't have any structural logic and they have difficulties in terms of forming sentences. And the other common problem is that their access to the technological devices and the internet is very limited. For example, for the last two years, they were been taught on EBA. Because there at least 5 children who are in school at the same time, they are not be able to attend most of the lessons. Even if they do, they have really low internet connection which makes the understanding a lot harder.
2. Some of them were very useful. I suppose I can use them to cope with the current problems of my students. Especially, low or no-tech required techniques will be very useful for me and my students. Paper Slide activity fits really good in classes like mine. It is fun, easy to do and useful at the same time.

1. We did some differentiation in the grades of 10 and 11th in today's session. 9th grade reading parts in the course are really similir to the ones in upper levels especially the activities. For a reading text, we should first use a engaging warm up such as True False cards like we did today. And then, for a while reading activity, I think making the reading texts easier to understand is the key. For this reason, we can elicit the unkown vocabulary from the text itself. By this way, we can make the text easier to understand and achieavable for all levels. And the other clue which can be useful is to divide the students into group and benefit from peer learning. And the last part is the post activities, in there, we can use some fun activities instead of multiple choice or comprehension questions. For example, role playing the characthers in the text is really engaging and can be fun for the students and this can improve their speaking levels also.
2. Using Web2 tools in the lessons for the students can make students engage more, because they are really into techonological devices these days. To be able to turn this habit into advantage can help both sides in the class.

1. I think the onion rings activity was very interesting. I can use it into my own classrooms as well. The content and the skill you want to use can be changeable. And the snack writing is really good in terms of time and effectiveness, because students can be bored easily and their level of attention can be really low after some time in lesson. With this type of short activities we can keep the students engaged for longer durations in the lesson.
2. As writing is a hard skill to teach among every teachers, I think my colleagues will be really interested in these kind of practical ideas. The main problem is the insufficancy in grammar and vocabulary and these kind of differention techniques helps the teacher and students at the same time by making it more clear.

For the first grammar section, for a more effective teaching experience CCQs are really important. And I will try to use this technique as much as possible to elicit grammar rules or check the understanding. It is kind of appropriate for my lessons, but it can be a bit challenging for the weaker students. And, I am worried about getting answers from the same students over and over again.
2. I think one of the common problems is to loose grammar translation method in our grammar lessons. And, the topic of my PLCs will be mostly about this. Because there will be also some traditional teachers, they will always want to choose the easiest way for them. But, I hope that there will be a lot of teachers who would like to use this kind of differention techniques and activities to make their lesson more fun both for themselves and their students.

In a modern world, where a lot of our students can reach smartphones and internet easily, Digilitalisation is the most important part of teaching vocabulary. I would like to say that vocabulary learning is one of the most boring structure point in an english lesson. To make it funnier and more effective, we should use applications and websites as much as possible or at least some fun activities like we do today. I think the thing our group did on interacty.me site was very useful and in that site there are lots of options which every teacher can benefit from. And for the 2nd question, I have been giving vocabulary notebooks as an assigment since I start working at Language Classes. It is a useful at home activity and to make it more effective I ask my students to write some antonyms and synonms next to a word that they have just learned. And making a sentence with a proper context is one of the other key points to make it more memorable. I ask them to make it funnier also to include some feelings.

1. We -as same profesion teachers- do gatherings at the begining of the first term and do another two at the beginning and the end of the second term. PDCs is something like that but more effective actually. And the most of the benefit will come from the cooperation I think. Because in MEB these gatherings are seen as a fool's errand and teachers come and sign only a paper and leave the meeting. But in PDCs this will more engaging and helpful for them and I assume that because they feel like to learn something, they will stay and have fun while learning from other peers. And sharing the same problems and coming up with new ideas make them feel more secure and self confident about the situation which goes wrong in their classes.
2. I will certainly be in the groups and I got and will continue getting a lot informations and useful tips from my collegues in these process. I believe that we can be more powerful when we are together.
3. I saw that the programme has been improved since the beginning. For this reason, if this was a fixed thing, I would certainly say that it will be non applicable to the real life situations or at least local context. But, the differention technique is coming at this part as we learn in the programme. Of course, there will be some problems but I believe that I can solve them one by one with my collegues, as long as the problems are solvable, because as you know, there are a number of things which is not in our hands. It is up to the Ministry of National Education.
