  • Yes, elements such as Emotions, Beauty, imagination, and history are still in our society today. For instance, museums show a lot of romanticism where the sculptures or paintings are historic, beautiful, and about nature as well.

    • These archetypes highlight the ambiguity of human nature.

    • This includes ghosts, witches, aliens and monsters and I assume reflect negative human characteristics.

    • Poor weather is used as scenery for these stories that are often darker in nature. 
    1. Wild Nature
    • This includes any whimsical, magical or chaotic. 
    1. Women in distress
    • Since these stories tend to point out fallacies within society, women in distress often serve as a motif of oppression. 
    1. Violence
    • This includes mental and physical abuse and it can also fall in the category of strong emotions.

Romanticism is the intellectual orientation in which emphasized the individual, the subjective, the irrational, the imaginative, the personal, the spontaneous, the emotional, the visionary, and the transcendental. I would say no because society kind of shuts down the spontaneous. Spontaneity is frowned upon.
