I feel like I better understand what is meant by Web 2.0 and have a lot more resources available that my students and I can use without needing specific apps or programs. I am also now thinking more about how students use technology and how I can make the biggest impact on their learning with the technology tools I incorporate.

I think I will definitely be incorporating more padlets into my classroom next year. I used them last year, but I didn't use them in a very rigorous or academic way (I had students create and post memes about the literature and used a padlet as the landing site for that activity). Now I can think of lots of other ways to use padlet that I think will really enhance my students' learning.

Student-centered technology

I definitely feel more prepared to incorporate more student-centered technology now. I heard a saying once that "Whoever is doing most of the work in the classroom is also doing most of the learning," and I think that's very true. I think as much as possible should be student-centered so that the students can feel ownership over their education.

I was excited to learn about new tools to use in my classroom. I don't know how many of the tools were truly completely *new* to me, but I am definitely coming away with a lot of new ideas for how to use those tools.

I think I said I was apprehensive about the amount of work it was going to be this term as I was taking two classes and finishing up a very difficult school year (as we all were). This did prove to be justified- the last 7 weeks have been a lot of work to do my classwork, finish my duties as a teacher and as the yearbook sponsor, and try to have some summer fun with my son. This week, in fact, I've been at the beach with my extended family for our annual vacation and have had to work a little more than I would usually. But I feel like it was all worth it in the end as I have learned a lot this term.

I really don't know what to predict will be coming down the technology pipeline in the future. I'm not generally apprehensive about technology, but I do think we're getting at a point where we maybe have enough for a while. My best guess, though, is that Virtual and Augmented Reality and Artificial Intelligence will be big players in the technology of the future. Through VR and AR, students are already able to easily have experiences that I couldn't have imagined in my school years, so I would imagine that will only increase.
