                Introduction to the golden snitch: a snidget (bird) was set free while a match of quidditch was happening, in 1269, match that was being seen by the Chief of the Conseil of the Wizards. He said that he will give 150 galleons to who catch the bird first, while the match was happening, of course. This ideology propagated in many places and soon after the snidgets were already set free, and a player by team (hunter, today it’s called seeker) had one and only task, catch the snidget before the other hunter. When the bird dies, the team oh the hunter receives 150 points in honour to the 150 galleons offered in the first use of the snidget in a match. With the excessive hunt of snidgets, the Conseil of Wizardry declared the snidget one protected species. While all the teams search a bird that can replace the snidget, Bowman Wright from Godric’s Hollow, created a ball that can replace the snidget. The snitch had been created.

 

                Only the seeker can touch the snitch until he grabs her, therefore the end of the match.

                Only a chaser can enter the scoring area.

                

                Between many teams, we would like to mention Vratsa Vultures, European champions 7 times and Braga Broomfleet, a Portuguese team with a original system of marcation of the beaters.
