Proof by Verbosity. There is a lot of photos and stories shared to make us believe that Yeti exists. It's the quantity of information, rather than the quality.

A reason for belief that relates to the image below is Unexplained. There is no proven explanation of how the Abominable Snowman exists. Ex: How it survives in the harsh weathers of Asia, what it eats, how big it is etc.

A red flag that relates to the video is Suppressed by Authorities. Some people believe that the photos of the prints taken in 1951 were a hoax, but instead of diminishing it as false, it should have been embraced.

A reason for belief that connects to this post is Perception and Observation. Sometimes our observations and beliefs make up how we see things or make decisions. Ex: If you go on a sight-seeing trip with the hopes to see the Abominable Snowman, your brain might make you believe that you seen it when you more than likely didn't.

When it comes to the search for Yeti, there are a few limitations. One limitation is the cost of hunting them. The Nepali government issued Yeti-hunting licenses priced at £400 per Yeti. It seems only the rich can afford to capture the mysterious species. Another is the dangers of the Himalaya mountains. Yeti is said to roam between a peak between 14,000 to 20,000 feet. In order to possibly catch a glimpse, you would be risking your life.

There are many reasons for belief when discussing the myth of the Abominable Snowman. One belief that fits the best is Patternicity.
As humans it's natural for us to look for patterns. When looking for this species, many people have seen patterns in the snow or other things in nature to make up the appearance of Yeti.

An almost "big foot" appearance.

A red flag that relates to this image is Confirmation Bias. The appearance of what Yeti actually looks like has been under debate for years. People tend to remember events or favour a certain image of truth to coincide with their beliefs, and forget those that don't. 

A flaw with this kind of thinking is that Yeti could possibly look nothing like the image below, but due to imagination and having strong beliefs, it may never be disproven.

Those big furry animals walking in the mountains on two feet are actually just.. bears. Scientists analyzed the DNA of 9 Yeti specimens and 8 of them were bears. 

Some flaws to this new study being true are the encounters/sightings from people. The figures are said to be human like, abnormally tall-far from what a bear looks like. 

While some sightings of Yeti have been debunked, there is still a lot of evidence of unknown hair, teeth, and footprints that can't be linked to any known living species.

While the search for a live specimen still ensues, the Yeti remains a
pop-culture icon.  The image of Yeti is used to promote everything from restaurants to bakeries and hotels. 

The story of Yeti is kept more of a myth that's told around campfires and praised as an icon. It would make sense for the locals to exaggerate it's existence so they can gain money and tourist attraction.

The species was depicted as a scary mountain monster, but in a kid-friendly way.

A red flag that connects with this image is Appeal to Authority. Using Yeti in a film made it seem real and believable to people of all ages without any supporting evidence. 

This myth has been around for hundreds of years and continues to live on with minimal evidence like sightings, photos, and footprints. The sightings in the video all look to be relatively the same which is a good thing. It's proof that Yeti does exist. I mean how can people from all over the map, that don't know each other capture footage of a species that looks the same?

A red flag that relates to this post and the topic in general is Ideological Support. A lot of the times people use footage and other media to push a belief on others. Even though I'm a believer, I do think that people fuel this myth with ideology, rather than with scientific evidence.

On the website, researchers discuss how Yeti is merely folklore, while others say it is in fact an ape-like humanoid.  

As with many other unsolved mysteries alike, there are a few things that make me believe in it's existence, but also make me question it. If Yeti was living at such high altitudes it wouldn't survive.
Primates would struggle in the harsh Himalayan weather. It would also need to roam to find food, and would therefore, be eventually seen. 

On the contrary, all the sightings and evidence prove that there is a ape-like species waiting to be discovered.
