The regular or remedial classes had less challenging and more wrote (spelling tests) curriculum, which further reinforces for students a dislike of the subject. 

I'm SO glad our math classes aren't tracked. I'm wondering why people aren't just jumping in, finding the students, trying things out to see what works and input can be given a long the way but we need to try something yesterday. I was remember in my old district, we use to have students do a culture fair project where they chose an aspect of their life and they presented it. We had a family night and all students were welcomed to see the projects.
