The first design solution that minimizes negative impact in Lebanon is “A giant, claw-shaped grapple scoops the nonrecyclable garbage into boilers” (Share America). This machine will produce steam that will generate recycled electrical power. This can minimize air pollution in Lebanon and other serious issues in this region. Tom Henderson visited Lebanon in April of 2016 so he can introduce his invention. He is hoping that sooner or later all the trash in Lebanon will be recycled. This machine will take all the waste that can be recycled and everything that can’t be taken by the machine will be boiled that will be turned into recycled electrical power. Instead of the waste being added to a landfill they will be generated into energy.

A project that no one has been giving a lot of attention to is a solution by a citizen in South Lebanon. This project will help the overflow of the trash piles in certain parts of Lebanon. The whole idea of this project is that the citizens will through their trash in a garbage can that was made especially for this project. Then the waste will then be taken by the team of Nidaa Al Ard who will be responsible for collecting the composted garbage and sell it to the farmers as natural pesticides with very low prices. The composting process will be monitored by professionals to ensure all steps are going accordingly as planned.

Band-Aid created a solution to put an end to this issue. Their idea was to open up the Costa Brava landfill here on the shoreline, which is not far from Beirut's Rafic Hariri international Airport. This will not resolve the issues completely, however, it is a step that will further influence other design solutions.
