Summers at Purdue are hot and humid. Usually the weather does not turn very cold until after fall break, but having at least a rain jacket/windbreaker and an umbrella before then is a good idea. A parka and other winter wear (gloves, hat, scarf, snow boots) are important for mid-November through mid-March.

The College of Science has a policy that if you are 5 minutes late to an appointment, it counts as no-show. For this reason, please plan to be a few minutes early.

Sometimes life happens and you might miss an appointment or be late and need to reschedule. Don't beat yourself up, but do try your best to keep the next appointment!

Multiple no-shows may cause you to miss the pre-registration deadline, which would mean no class schedule for the next semester. If life circumstances are making it difficult for you to keep appointments, please reach out to me by email and we can problem-solve together. I will support you in any way I can.

You can come to virtual drop-in hours or email me. If you receive an email message that says I am out of the office for a few days, please email scienceadvising@purdue.edu (note that this email may take 24-48 business hours to respond) or call 765-494-1771.

If you need to come into the office, please make an appointment through BoilerConnect. Note that you cannot make an appointment less than 24 hours in advance. If you truly need to meet with me earlier, contact me to see if I have the availability to do so.

Emergency telephones are placed around campus. These are the yellow or black boxes with a blue light on top. Pushing the button will call 911.

Review safe partying information: legal information, alcohol/drug information, and sexual health information. Please be responsible and stay safe.

CityBus (Lafayette & West Lafayette) runs a few bus loops on campus. The on-campus loops were previously free for Purdue students, but starting 8/23/2025 there will be fares. There is a discount for Purdue students for the CityBus pass.

SP+ will now be offering additional campus loops for free. You may need to show your student ID. Here is the SP+ route map.

Indianapolis Shuttle:

There is a free shuttle that runs between the West Lafayette and Indianapolis campuses.

To & From Airports:

Lafayette Limo and Reindeer Shuttle run shuttles to/from Chicago (ORD) and Indianapolis (IND).
