I've spent many years studying antiracism, Whiteness and social change and in 2013 began professional work in diversity and social justice education. This work included giving course lectures, training faculty/staff/students, writing grants, coordinating conferences, shaping policy and curriculum, student advocacy and development and more.

Much of this work has been within or connected to academia and the broad helping professions (social work, counseling, medicine, law, education, etc). Through all of my relationships, through the journal articles I've read, through things I hear at conferences - I see connecting threads across all of these professions, from training to practice to scholarship. My husband is a high school security guard, coach and mentor. Our daughter is studying to be a physical therapist and athletic trainer, our older son loves theater, comedy and music and our younger son loves sports, music, math and video games.
