Where the Red Fern Grows is a great book about a young boy and his dream for his own red-bone hound hunting dogs. Set in the Ozark Mountains during the Great Depression, Billy Coleman works hard and saves his earnings for 2 years to achieve his dream of buying two coonhound puppies. He develops a new trust in God as he faces overwhelming challenges in adventure and tragedy roaming the river bottoms of Cherokee country with Old Dan and Little Ann.The story follows the three as they relentlessly go through the Ozarks, trying to tree the elusive Ghost raccoon. Their effort wasn't for nothing as they win the desired gold cup in the annual 🤬-hunt contest, capture wily ghost coons and bravely fight a mountain lion. Through these adventures Billy realizes the meaning of true friendship, loyalty, and more.

The War I Finally Won by Kimberly Brubaker Bradley is a historical fiction book. It is about a girl named Ada who lives with her brother, Jamie, and her guardian, Susan in the midst of World War ll. Their house was bombed by the Germans, so they moved to a cottage in the woods. Then, later, they meet Ruth, a German girl who is studying for her Oxford exams. Ada and Jamie find Ruth to be very suspicious. This book is very suspenseful, but sad at the same time. I recommend this book to people who like suspenseful action and war.

I would recommend the book "The War that Saved My Life" by Kimberley Brubaker Bradley. It's a very emotional but page turning book about the experience of two siblings: Ada and Jamie. Ada had clubfoot and her mom thought it made Ada ugly so she didn't let her out of their house unlike her brother Jamie who went to school and could play with friends. But on day Jamie found out they were taking kids from their town and transporting them out of London and into safe homes with new family's. Jamie and Ada didn't waste a minute and went to the train station while their mom was at work and left to find there new safer home during the war. When the two of them make it to their new home with their caretaker Susan they realized many different lies they were told before in London but many truths to. Also finds the activity that she was meant to do, Jammie found new things to do and met new friends at his new school. But one day when they were all happy someone shows up at their doorstep to take the kids. There is a second book called "The War I finally Won" which I'm reading now(its also really good). I got both these books at Guthrie Memorial Library. Here's a picture of the both books.

I can't normally find a good book and this was pretty good. Pretty much this Teacher Mr Kermit who was once a great teacher goes through struggles. The class that he "teaches" likes him very much and tries to make him great again to prove that they aren't unteachable.

There is a teenager named Brian and he is a pilot, one day Brian and his co-pilot spin out of control and crash land in the woods. Brian is the only one that survives the crash, he is lost in the woods with nothing. Or so he thought, he ends up finding a hatchet, Brian has to use the hatchet to survive the unknown wilderness that he has landed into. He faces many challenges in this book and struggles to survive. I think that anyone that loves adventure will end up liking this book.
