It took place in the first term of this school year. Since our school has negligible to none dropout rates, the seminars were organized in order for the teachers to sensitive themselves into dealing with students of low academic performance and how to make them aware of their possibilities to improve themselves and the workshops aimed at the students’ parents in order to make them take a more active role in the school community. The seminars were organized with the help of the Center of Mental health who are experts at helping students deal with the anxiety that the school poses over them in order to be successful and the stress that the exam oriented greek educational system imposes on them. The parents participated in lectures about how to deal with the sensitive period of adolescence and how to be able to communicate better with their children.After each seminar and workshop, teachers and parents were interviewed and their responses proved that this activity was a very successful one.
