Using thought provoking questions and encouraging participation through interactive learning. Small group peer discussion draws in different perspectives rather just teacher's perspective. Applying Nurturing /Developmental approach rather than transmission stimulates the student's interests and motivates action learning

She is effective in that she encourages discussion and peer learning. She attempts to understand the mood of the class and structure her questions such that they are not closed ended. Putting forward information that could be challenged and argued was useful. In summary she does not merely dictate information but puts forward questions that attracts discussion

She uses open-ended questions that encourages groups of students to discuss issues and provide possible answers to certain problems. I also believe that she is guided by objectives on what needs to be achieved at the end of the class; I sense this from the way she seems to direct questions in a different direction, by rephrasing or emphasizing certain words for effect.

Prof Deborah utilises a learner-centric approach where she mentions early in the vid that we take away or reduce the opportunities for our learners to learn if we do all the work and they become only spectators. "we cant do the learning for our students". She advocates engaging and interacting with students via of Lecturer-to-Student, Student-to-student. Facilitation in the form of promoting interactions and engaging students with the materials and content in terms of self directed learning seems to work well.

Prof Deborah encourages stimulation of thinking through peer learning where students discuss diverse viewpoints and arguments. I agree with her point that during Q & A, it is important to ask questions that allow students to actively learn the concepts.
