Research Title: Restoration of river heritage through Landscape Narrative Approach at Historic Cities

Problem Statement:

i) Despite their deep cultural and historical value, many heritage rivers are increasingly neglected and abandoned as urban expansion and development take precedence over conservation (Blue Papers, 2024)

ii) Although heritage rivers possess significant aesthetic and cultural value, they frequently lack meaningful integration with their surrounding urban fabric, resulting in underutilization and missed opportunities for community engagement and sustainable development. (Hassan et al., 2021)
