The followers permanently have one foot stuck in the past and one reaching toward the future. For example, the Caste System reminds me of the feudal system, which is a very old way of thinking. This could create problems in the future. The polytheistic aspect of Hinduism gives it a rich background which has transcended an incredible amount of time. I like the storytelling and myth aspect which seems to hint that the gods are more human than they appear.
