Australia became a federation on January the 1st 1901. All the sates became collective and are now known as the commonwealth of Australia. They decided to join forces because of the different currency in states, Rail lines, trade e.t.c. They decided as a unity to have one government for the commonwealth of Australia

When Ned was only 15 he was arrested for assault and for stealing a horse. Many years later he became a notorious bush ranger and this is why.

In 1879 Ned Kelly and his gang planed and executed the robbery of a bank. As they were running for many years the police finally court up. There was a shoot of between Ned's gang and the police. Everyone in Ned's gang died but him. He got arrested and chared. He was then hanged. 

Ned is also know for his bullet proof suit of armour.

This war began over slavery and state rights. The confederacy wanted to keep slavery. There were 11 american states in the confederacy. The industrial revolution was a rapid development of technology that changed the way goods were produced, how  people travelled and where they lived it brought into excistance what we now recognise as the 'modern world'. 
 

Although some basis forms of steam engines were used in ancient times, a major development occurred in 1712 when Thomas Newcomen produced an atmospheric steam engine that could be used to pump water. This was further developed by James Watt between 1763 and 1775. Watts engine was portable and required 75% less coal to run. This meant the engine could be used to power facilities - it as the breakthrough that changed life many ways or areas.

Factories paved the way for mass production , and gradually saw the decrease in handcrafted goods that had been made in villages for centuries.  As steam was applied to agricultural machines, less man power was required, and people had to move into cities where factories were to have employment .

Transport 
He major development for transport during the industrial revolution was railways.The Stockton  and Darlington railway opened in 1825, and was followed by Liverpool and Manchester railway in 1830. 
 
In the second half of  The 19th century, ocean going steamships started to challenge sailing ships for trade. More materials were able to be moved around the globe - the sun  never set on the British Empire for trade. The great distance between England and its colony of Australia could only be covered by sea. Larger and faster  ocean vessels meant that more Goods tat more goods such as wool and wheat could be exported to England and manufactured goods could be imported to Australia.
