I read to page 120. An important quote from the cage is that you never leave your family behind no matter what the problem or issue is. It helps the reader by describing how you treat your family. No because the characters are still the same (in a good way) which is a really good thing. They went to the concentration camps where all the Germans did all the bad things to the Jews.

'Why wouldn't he make it on the family tree, Aunt Prue?'
'On account of him bein' a deserter.'"

This piece of dialog cleared up why this man with the initials G.C.K wouldn't be allowed on the family tree. This man was in a war and when you are in the war it is dishonorable to leave without being Honorably discharged . However this man had a pregnant wife so he decided to desert his group of veterans to protect her. This brought a bad name to their family so they decided as a collective group they they would kick him out of the family tree. This will somehow correlate to future events somehow but i do not know exactly yet.

The entire book depends on the second world war. The main person is a pilot in the military and he's in love with a girl. The military/ war explains the way he behaves, it affects the way people live (ptsd.) Henry was in a dream for the first few pages of the book. He and Patsy (his dream gf) were in a plane that was crashing. He's insanely in love with her. He knew how to stop the plane crash but refused to even try unless she agreed to marry him. That made him look a psycho but it was all a dream.
