There are three different types of Associates degrees for nursing , Associates degree in nursing (ADN) , Associate of science degree in nursing (ASN) and Associate of applied science in nursing (AAS). Though very confusing to note the differences, they all lead to the same career. Typically an associates degree requires a minimum of two year to complete some people may finish in three. The program teaches important material, clinical skills as well as completing clinical rotations in local hospitals or similar facilities. After graduation or completion of the program , students can sit for the state licensing exam also known as the NCLEX-RN to determine wether they will become an RN or not.
