I believe this because at the age of 15/16, we have not fully matured for committing sexual intercourse. If you have decided to do it, when you’re not ready, you might have to deal with the consequences like pregnancy at a young age, STIs, not being emotionally ready and it might end your relationship. Although there are ways to prevent pregnancy and STIs like birth control and condoms, there is still that slight chance that you could get them. The only way to 100% not get them is to not have sex at all. Afterwards they are completely fine and it doesn’t interfere in any way with their relationship. An old tradition in Austria, was that whilst girls were dancing around for men, they would have an apple under their armpit. After dancing if they had found a man they fancied they would give the apple to them. If the feeling was mutual the man would eat the apple to show the lady he fancied her as well. This shows that the man would do anything for their partner, but I don’t think many teenagers would do this today.

The wisdom for dating is to be yourself and act how you normally would, as it allows the other person to see if you are right for them. If you pretend you’re someone you’re not it gives the other person a false idea of you. The wisdom in marriage is not to rush it and make sure you have found the right person to spend the rest of your life with. This is because it is a very big commitment and if you did not share it with the right person you start to become regretful, unhappy and end up having a divorce. In Afghanistan, most marriages are arranged by their parents, as the opportunities of meeting someone on your own is rare because schools are separate for boys and girl and girls and boys have different curfews.
