Animal cells are eukaryotic cells, or cells with a membrane-bound nucleus. Unlike prokaryotic cells, DNA in animal cells is housed in the nucleus. In addition to having a nucleus, animal cells also have other membrane-bound organelles, or tiny cellular structures, that carry out specific functions necessary for normal cellular operation.

Plants are unique among the eukaryotes, organisms whose cells have membrane-enclosed nuclei and organelles, because they can make their own food. Chlorophyll, which gives plants their green color, enables them to use sunlight to turn water and carbon dioxide into sugars and carbohydrates, chemicals the cell uses for fuel.

ANIMAL CELLS VS PLANT CELLS

Animal cells and plant cells are similar in that they are both eukaryotic cells and have similar organelles. Animal cells are normally smaller than plant cells. While animal cells come in various sizes and tend to have irregular shapes, plant cells are more similar in size and are normally rectangular or cube shaped. A plant cell also has structures not found in an animal cell. Some of these include a cell wall, a large vacuole, and plastids. Animal cells also has structures such as centrioles, lysosomes, cilia, and flagella that are not typically found in plant cells.

ANIMAL CELL TYPES

Animal organisms can be composed of trillions of cells. In the human body, there are hundreds of different types of cells. These cells come in all shapes and sizes and their structure suits their function. For example, the body's nerve cells or neurons have a very different shape and function than red blood cells. Nerve cells transport electrical signals throughout the nervous system. They are elongated and thin, with projections that extend out to communicate with other nerve cells in order to conduct and transmit nerve impulses. The major role of red blood cells is to transport oxygen to body cells. Their small, flexible disc shape enables them to go through tiny blood vessels to bring oxygen to organs and tissues.

PLANT CELL TYPES

As a plant matures, its cells become specialized in order to perform certain functions necessary for survival. Some plant cells synthesize and store organic products, while others help to transport nutrients throughout the plant. Some examples of specialized plant cell types include:

Parenchyma Cells - although not highly specialized, these cells synthesize and store organic products in the plant.

Collenchyma Cells - help to support plants while not restraining growth due to their lack of secondary walls and the absence of a hardening agent in their primary walls.

Sclerenchyma Cells - provide a support function in plants, but unlike collenchyma cells, they have a hardening agent and are much more rigid.

Plant cells are grouped together into various tissues. These tissues can be simple, consisting of a single cell type, or complex, consisting of more than one cell type. Above and beyond tissues, plants also have a higher level of structure called plant tissue systems. There are three types of tissue systems: dermal tissue, vascular tissue, and ground tissue systems.

1.The first thing that is wonderful about plant cells is that they are the only producers of food by self on earth.

2.Next they have amazing features like chloroplasts, rigid cell wall and vacuole. Their features resemble those of animal cells.

3.Plants retain a definite shape due to the rigid cell wall. They take in lots of water but the rigid cell wall helps them retain their shape.

4.The vacuole is the storage place for the waste of plant cell.

5.Chloroplasts help plants manufacture food through photosynthesis.

1: Nano Chemical Factories
Animal cell is considered as a self-sufficient cell for it has nano chemical factories. The cell can generate what it needs. For example Golgi complex can generate a cell membrane.

2: Ribosomal RNA

RNA is made from amino acid. It is a kind of protein. The creator is organelles located in the nucleus called as nucleolus.

3: Mitochondria

It is located inside the animal cell.
