While other teams in the NBA were adding sponsorship patches to their uniforms for extra money, the Utah Jazz decided to add a patch that encourages people to donate $5 to cancer research. Through this, they raised over $50 million for the cause.

While this is an organization, I believe such methods can be applied to personal branding. This can enable you to put your statements of what your mission and values are into action.

Dwyane Wade has focused on putting his family first, and his personal brand reflects that. Since retiring from basketball, Wade has published multiple books about fatherhood and raising his children. He and his wife, Gabrielle Union, have also published a series of children's books that celebrate fatherhood and children. He is also the founder of PROUDLY, a "sustainable baby care brand with specially formulated products dedicated to the unique skincare needs of children of color."

Long story short, Wade has found something that he is passionate about, and turned it into helpful products for others.
