I have learnt even if we achieved the highest level of education, it will all be in vain if we don’t improve our adab. During the prophet’s time, they learned adab before starting to learn a certain ‘ilm’. That’s how important it is. As we grow in life, we should always seek guidance in the Quran as it is the ‘present’ that Allah has given to us. Quran, adab, and knowledge are related because in the Quran itself we get to know adab and knowledge from various aspects. As a Muslim, everything that we do should be parallel to the Al-Quran and As-Sunnah so that we will keep living on the right path towards becoming better servants.

We learn about hadith Jibril. What I found interesting in that specific hadith is how the Sahabah patiently waits for Prophet Muhammad S.A.W. to end his conversation with a man that they don’t recognize that come out of anywhere until the Prophet told them himself about the man. This shows how they are full of respect towards Rasulullah and others.

The pillars of Islam is not a foreign topic as I believe that every Muslim should at least learn about it once. Even if Muslims around the world learned and listened to it multiple times, many of us still failed to fulfill it. This topic is very important because it is the basis of our life as a Muslim.

For this week, the topic is the 3 first Pillars of Iman, which is belief in Allah, Malaikah, and Kutub.

The main thing I gained from today’s Usrah session is that when we say we believe in these 3 matters, then we should show or express it in action. As iman itself means the recognition of the heart that should be expressed by the tongue and, at last, to reflect this in our activities.

But sadly, nowadays, it is easy to do all the talk without action. May Allah keep us away from these situations.

Based on the youtube video, Surah Nuh relates to Qada’ and Qadar by emphasizing Allah’s ultimate control over all events and outcomes. Despite Prophet Nuh’s 950 years of effort to guide his people, only those decreed by Allah were guided, highlighting the role of divine will in human destiny. It shows the balance between human free will and Allah’s plan, as Nuh’s people chose disbelief and faced the consequences decreed by Allah. The surah reminds us that while we are accountable for our actions, all outcomes ultimately align with Allah’s divine wisdom and decree.

I also learned that belief in qada’ and qadar refers to trusting that everything happens by Allah’s knowledge and will, as written in the Preserved Tablet. It includes four components: Allah’s complete knowledge, His writing of all decrees, His will behind all creation, and His role as the Creator of everything. This belief strengthens faith and reminds us that nothing occurs without His divine will.

Other than that, belief in hereafter is the conviction that life will end on kiamat, the Day of Resurrection, where everyone will be judged for their deeds. Those with good deeds will enter Paradise, while wrongdoers will face punishment in Hell. This belief inspires accountability, patience, love for Allah, and motivation to do good while fearing His punishment.

Kindness is the act of being generous, compassionate, and considerate toward others. It reflects one’s faith, demonstrating trust in the power of goodness. Kindness strengthens faith (iman), brings Allah’s pleasure, leads to blessings (barakah) and paradise (jannah), and helps build a harmonious society. The Quran encourages acts of kindness, such as helping strangers, showing gratitude, and being generous. A key verse from Surah Al-Ankabut (29:69) highlights that Allah is with those who do good.

Fasting is more than just abstaining from food, it is a meaningful act of worship that deepens our connection with Allah SWT and shapes our character. Through fasting, we develop respect by practicing discipline and gratitude, compassion by showing kindness and care for others, and patience by enduring challenges and avoiding harmful behavior. These noble qualities help us become better Muslims and individuals, both spiritually and morally. In essence, fasting is a powerful way to strengthen our faith and improve our behavior in daily life.

My wish

During usrah 2 , I have stated some of my wish inside the sticky note that were given by sr fatin. Does it happen? well..some yes and some no because one of my wish was i want to make friends in our usrah group but due to online meeting, i can’t get to know them because i have a bad memory so i can’t even remember their face. But after all, i enjoyed it the usrah session and i did interacted with some of them on our last day..

my reflection

I realize that throughout this usrah 2, I have learnt many useful things and I have many new things and topics from sr fatin.

As for the method of meeting, for the first 2 weeks we met face to face and after that we use Google Meet for online meetings. I was happy with that even though sometimes the internet was slow and it starts lagging. Because my class usually ended kinda late so i don’t need to worry about attending the meeting late.

Some improvement suggestions that I hope could be done is changing the usrah time. At 3 to 5, usually we are quite tired from classes in the morning. I hope the usrah could be done earlier or a little bit later.

That's all from me, thank you!
