Hoops and obstacles are often used in agility training or a means of calming an animal with a high activity level.

Hoops and jumps should be the correct distant apart according to the size of the dog. Similar to that the height should be adjusted to accommodate the size of the dog, for example 32cm straight jump for smaller breeds.

All obstacles should be easily demolished. As dogs may get caught in them or fall onto them. This will prevent injury which isn't uncommon in the industry.

Hoops and obstacles are part of course in which the animal will take part in with a steady speed. Throwing their bodies over or in.

Riding crop/Whip~ riding crops or whips can be used to obtain a horses forward movement if they aren't responding to your leg. Whips are only usually used to back up your leg aid when a horse is not responding too the aid you are giving, backing up away from a jump, or just needs some extra encouragement to move forward.

You can slap/tap the shoulder of the horse first to let them know you want them to concentrate and up the pace, if they then take no notice to that aid you can then tap them with the crop behind your lower leg (leg aid area) behind the saddle to tell them this is serious and they must get that forward momentum.
