Making Connections by

For this Padlet you will analyze the art and answer the questions in a paragraph. For the last part of the paragraph, you need to make a connection in your paragraph. Either text to self, text to text, or text to the world. Don't forget to include examples to help add details to your responses. :)

B.C. Binings used many different lines and shapes. He used straight lines, diagonal lines, curved lines an more. To turn on the machine there is a red circle that an arrow is pointing to. There also is a lever at the top of the machine where you can you can pull it to activate the machine. I think he could a rectangle and colour it like a light switch. I think this machine could be a washing machine. The machine is something that cleans the clothes and then hangs it out. I think i can make a text-to self. It reminds me of one of my dad's machine that he made. The machine he made could make tubes of the blowing bubble liquid.

B.C Binning used many types of lines. For example he used straight lines, diagonal lines, curved lines and more. Some of the shapes B.C Binning used are squares, circles, and triangles. To turn on the machine B.C Binning used a red button. For example to show how to turn it on B.C Binning has a big white arrow to show were the button is and how to turn it on. B.C binning could have also used a star, a square, or a heart is well. I think the machine is a dryer or maybe a sink. Something that cleans dishes or cloths. I think i can make a text to self connection. Because i made a invention once too. I drew and planed it first. (Like B.C Binning did) Then i decided to make it and it was a success. Well that is what i can connect to from this picture. What can you connect to?

Firstly, to me, the image has geometrical shapes like circles, squares, rectangles, and triangles. Secondly, In the bottom left corner there is a red button used to turn the machine on, also at the top left corner there is a lever which you can use to pull to activate the machine. Besides the circles for buttons he could have used many different symbols. Thirdly, I think this machine could be a light bulb, when the button is pressed the two triangles make the small red triangles move which could create heat and activate the yellow half circle which could be a light. Lastly, this art piece reminds me of the interactive touch screen at University of British Columbia because this machine looks complicated and I think it was made by his imagination like how the students at UBC used their thoughts to create it.

He also used triangles, squares and circles. I can see where to turn the machine on; he used a big red button to represent that symbol. A big white arrow is pointing straight to it. He also could have used a star, a heart, or a smiley face. I think that it is a clothe washing and drying machine. This piece of art relates to another piece of art that I have once seen. It relates because this art piece is a machine and is hard to recognize and the other one that I have seen is a machine that is hard to recognize. That is what I think.

1. Firstly BC Binning has used a lot of different shapes and lines. For example, he has used turning lines, thick lines, curving lines, circle lines, thin lines, coloured lines, boxed in lines and sharp turn lines. Secondly BC Binning has used a variety of different shapes. For example, he used circles, rectangles, squares, triangles, ovals, half circles, quarter circles and other shapes that I will not go on explaining.
2. I think you turn on the machine either with the red circle button that is at the bottom or by the red circle button at the top which looks like a lever. I also think that BC Binning's on button looks a but dull and he could have used a burger emoji instead. If BC Binning used a burger emoji instead of a red circle his invention would make people hungry instead of giving them an appetite for destruction and making them want to press the button like their evil plan just finally worked. In conclusion, if BC Binning made his on button a burger emoji it would save all the people who used it fro turning evil. Or whoever used it could just try their best to not turn evil I guess...
3. I think this invention is like a drinking fountain. You probably press the button and water goes through the machine and then comes out somewhere close to the hour glass shaped thing so you can drink it. Or maybe this is a water filtering system so it turns saltwater from the ocean into fresh drinking water so you don't have to pay your water bills (not a bad idea for your water meter). Also it might just be a normal water fountain to drink water from although that would be very unlikely.
4. (Text To Self) By looking at this invention it reminds me of when I tried to invent a car for Bunny. I got a box from the recycling and then coloured it, then I got another box and cut it up so the pieces of cardboard looked like wings, then I attached the "wings" to my box and it sort of started to look like a flying car that I could push him around on, so then I coloured in the inside of the "flying car" so then it would look a bit more realistic. Then after it was all completed I plopped Bunny down in there and pushed him around my room, but the car sort of looked a bit odd because it was a beer box that had bottles champagne in it. I think that my car for Bunny relates to this Padlet because this Padlet is about a invention and I created my own invention by making that mini box car

B.C binning used some straight lines and some curved lines and theres one line that turns and points to a red button near the bottom of the machine that I think makes the thing start. The red button near the bottom of the machine because it has a arrow pointing at it so thats what makes me think thats how the machine gets turned on. The machine works bye the button being pushed and then and leaver being pulled down and the leaver is near the top of the machine to start a stage of lifting a flag and then water goes threw the curved lines and the heads threw a pointy line that drops water into bucket. This machine connects to the world because only a few countries have clean water every day.

It could get electricity in the triangle and onto the yellow thing at the top to make light. I can connect this to Albert Einstien because it reminds me of the light bulb. they used the light bulb in this drawing. I know the light bulb was invented by Thomas A. Edison but the light bulb reminds me of this drawing. the Albert comes from me thinking that this drawing reminds me of his inventions.

B.C used lots of shapes and lines in his machine. Some of them are circles, triangles, semi circles and rectangles. Some of the lines are thick lines, skinny lines, wavy lines. I think you turn the machine with the circle symbol. This machine makes a life time supply of fidget spinners my favourite paint jog it makes is metallic silver with water melon and blue.
A connection i have from this art piece is a text to self connection because in me made are silly inventions and it kind of looked the same
