         <description><![CDATA[<div>The day to day teaching/lessons are geared to my learning goals for the class and.&nbsp; These technologies and apps are chosen purposefully as opportunities to build on aspects of lessons I have taught in a systematic and explicit way.&nbsp; The learners in my class learn that this is a tool for their learning not a toy.&nbsp; These apps and technologies are infused as part of supporting engagement and building student learning.&nbsp; They are also another useful way of connecting parents with their child's learning.</div><div><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Right off the bat, I think it important for students to have the opportunity to build their knowledge supported always first by direct instruction firstly.&nbsp; Technology can add a layer to the learning.&nbsp; It supports meaningful and powerful application of knowledge and skills, not to mention opportunity for independent practice.&nbsp; The apps and technology I use can help bring concepts/lessons to life for the students.</div><div>&nbsp;&nbsp;<br>I’m guided by the four principles below and the thought:</div><div><br></div><div>Principles</div><div><br></div><ul><li><strong>Guiding Principle #1:</strong> Technology—when used appropriately—can be a tool for learning.</li><li><strong>Guiding Principle #2:</strong> Technology should be used to increase access to learning opportunities for all children.</li><li><strong>Guiding Principle #3:</strong> Technology may be used to strengthen relationships among parents, families, early educators, and young children.</li><li><strong>Guiding Principle #4:</strong> Technology is more effective for learning when adults and peers interact or co-view with young children.<br><br></li></ul><div><br></div><div>Thought</div><div><br></div><div>&nbsp; Technology can engage children in key skills of play, self expression and computational thinking.&nbsp;</div><div><br></div>]]></description>
