When my mother and father had me and then my little brother. My mother was working at Dartmouth college at the time and I don't remember where my father was working. My parents lived with my grandparents when they had me but moved to Newbury when they had my brother.

Dating and Marriage

Crumbling

In the mid 2010's my parents marriage began falling part. This affected my father and he became very angry and turned his anger on my mother, brother, and I.

Divorce

In the winter of 2014, my parents officially separated and then sometime after divorced. My mother got full custody of my brother and I

In 2015, my mother, brother, and I moved in with my grandparents. We moved in with them to help my mother save money after the divorce and to look after my elderly grandparents.

As my mother, brother, and I lived with my grandparents. My grandparents helped my mother raise my brother and I from 2015 to the present. Around the late 2010's, my mother tried to start dating again but none of the relationships took off.

New Job

In 2023, my mother left her job that she had been at since I was a toddler. She got a new better job with better pay and benefits with amazing coworkers.

COVID Pandemic

In 2020, the pandemic happened and left my mother, brother, and I working and doing school from home. It was a tough time because all five of us were squished into one house and my hard of hearing grandparents blasted pro-trump and deep state conspiracy videos at full volume.

Death

In May of this year, my grandmother passed away on Easter Sunday. She passed in her sleep peacefully and it was a very traumatic time for me because I had woken up when my grandfather came running into the hall where our bedrooms are and said "Katie's dead."

Step Into Adulthood

On Saturday, June 15th, I will be turning 18 and will officially be an adult. I'm figuring out where I'm going to go for college and what I'm going to do after highschool.
