Jewel is precious just as jewels themselves. Jewel is closer to the mother than the others. Cash is an ironic name because they don't have any money. Dewey Dell reminds me of like a frail doll, or more so just a feminine name.

The Brunden's have a son named Jewel, and Cash, they do not have cash and they cannot afford jewels.
