1. During his conversation with Sophie Neveu, Teabing states, “History is always written by the winners. When two cultures clash, the loser is obliterated, and the
winner writes the history books—books which glorify their own cause and disparage the conquered foe. . . . By its very nature, history is always a one-sided account”. Do you agree or disagree with this statement? Why? Also, how is
Teabing’s statement about history reflected in other parts of the book?
2. Despite the book’s fictional status, a “Fact” page is included at the beginning of the
book. Even though that is the depiction in the book, in the real world there are other accounts on what is the holy grail. The count about the holy grail legend was told in a text called " Conte de Grail," by Frenchman, Chretien de Troyes. He says that the holy grail was indeed the cup of Christ. However, there are several other accounts that states that the holy grail is actually is a precious stone fell from the sky. All in all stone or cup the holy grail is a vessel of promising eternal youth, riches, and happiness to which ever holds it in their possession.

(1) Teabing's statement about history should surely spark up an argument.I agree with Teabing on the part where he states " By it's true nature, history is always a one-sided account." The reason on why I agree upon this statement is it's is always true that there two stories in any situation. At times we usually take one side and never hear out the other side. To some they automatically make decision one who side to be on based on background knowledge. Teabing's statement can be seen reflecting throughout the book. For example, detective Fache made a decision that Robert Langdon was the killer just because his name was written on the floor by Sauniere. When Langdon arrived all Fache was thinking about was when was the best time to arrest him, he never bother what Langdon had to say about the crime.

(3) Catholicism is the faith, practice, and church order of the Roman Catholic Church. Bishop Aringarosa is the head of the Opus Dei, it is a secretive and more extreme type of Catholicism. Therefore it means it has strict guidelines and do anything for god's sake. Silas follows Bishop Aringarosa practices and becomes a monk of the Opus Dei, he is now the Bishop's right hand man. The reason why Silas follows the Bishop's orders is because he was the mentor and father figure when he was young. However, the Vatican in the book separated from Opus Dei so it can bring its practices more up to date with modern society.

1) In the book, the Holy Grail is is referred as the "Sangreal" or bloodline of Christ. Literally, this means the blood of Christ flows through the children descended from him and Mary Magdelene. The blood is a symbol of spiritual truth. Before Sauniére died, he would use his blood to leave clues behind about the Holy Grail on his body.

3. Dakari DickeyThere are many examples of sacred feminine in Disney movies. For example, the movie "Tangled" shows it clearly. The princess Rapunzel was trapped in a tower being used for her inner good. She would talk to higher power in hopes to only find out that was the inner strength she needed. This connects to the story because the power all lies in the hands of a female.

Other accounts believe the holy grail to be the cup from which christ drank from at the last supper and that Joseph used to collect jesus blood for crucifixion.Along the years the cup has been described as many things, a dish, chalice, platter, and even a stone,so it's hard to tell which is the true version of the holy grail.

History is mostly told from the perspective of someone winning or conquering another foe in battle or war. The time in the book where he showed history is when he told langdon and sophie about how jesus was hiding his marriage with Mary Maglene because of the fact both of them had royal families.

Teabing and Landgon expand Sophies knowledge of the Holy Grail by going more in depth with their explanation of what the Holy Grail actually is. The larger meaning of the Holy Grail rather than just a chalice is that its an actual person: Mary Magdelinie who birthed descendants of Christ which Sophie happens to be included.

History is usually one sided and many people believe that the bible is as well. Historians wouldn't want the secrets of Mary Magdeline to be revealed so they didnt let her existence get out and "ruin" the image of Jesus because of what people would think. Teabings views are displayed in earlier parts of the book when The Knights' historical relevance was being told. When they won their invasion they were able to continue to protect the "holy grails" real meaning.
